Love in all of its permutations take center stage in this new twist on Shakespeare’s beloved comedy. When Rosalind’s usurper uncle overthrows the government and threatens her life, she disguises herself as a boy and flees into the Forest of Arden. Now known as Ganymede, she searches for her mother (the rightful duke) and is accompanied by her cousin and the court fool. The passionate Orlando, who fell in love with Rosalind before her escape, also steals into the forest to evade a vengeful sister. Hijinks ensue when Ganymede agrees to school Orlando in the art of wooing Rosalind. All the world’s a stage (literally) in this outdoor production that uses Bucknell’s campus as the backdrop for Shakespeare’s story.
